We recommend you use IRC client software running on your computer.  If that is not convenient, we do have a

Download either:

[http://www.xchat.org/download/ XChat] or [http://easynews.dl.sourceforge.net/sourceforge/gaim/gaim-1.5.0.exe gaim] (for Windows).

Below are instructions for setting up xchat to talk on our channel.

 1. X-Chat (Menu), Server List
 2. Find Freenode in the list
 3. Connect
 4. Type: /join #exe

 1. Tools (Menu), Accounts
 2. Add
 3. Settings:
    Protocol:: IRC
    Screen Name:: (Choose a name for your self)
    Server:: irc.freenode.net
    Auto Logon:: Tick
 4. Save
 5. Buddies (menu)
 6. Join a chat
 7. Settings:
    Account:: yourname@irc.freenode.net (IRC)
    Channel:: #exe
