Notes for Gisborne 16-02-06
I always feel particularly uncomfortable in the of Sage ‘on-the-stage’ figuring that the combined knowledge in the room dwarfs that capacity of my brain. As the learning designer for the exe project I find my effectiveness comes from being a learner. I constantly ask myself particularly when working with technology a bunch of questions:
- How would I best learn this?
- What information do I need to get going?
- How important is it that I become highly knowledgeable or skilled in this particular task?
- How relevant is this piece of learning for what I want to do?
- Is this the quickest way to learn it?
I then go through a bunch of ‘what ifs?’
Background in ISD - instructional systems design.
Need for flexibility in systems design approach - not every project is the same but approach provides a good basic guideline to start and work from.
