Brainstorm notes

Gap analysis

  1. Shortage of eXe FLOSS developers at individual TEI's
  2. No relevant NZ models for replicating development nodes, particularly in areas charactised by low connectivity, remote towns/settlements and culturaly relevant community involvements
  3. No FLOSS authoring technologies focusing on content development for portable multimedia devices, especially with regards to culturaly relevant pedagogical approaches
  4. Virtually no work being conducted in NZ on the evolving e-framework reference models in relation identified e-learning tools.
  5. Shortage of local TEI knowledge and capability with regards to New Zealand interoperability specifications.
  6. Pan-sector collaboration on core e-learning infrastructure in New Zealand must be improved. eXe is an authoring technology that can be deployed accross the secondary and tertiary sectors.
