iDevice Editor

The iDevice Editor is a new feature from release 0.4 that allows you to design your own simple iDevices. This feature is still under development and improvements to its functionality continue to be made.

Activity - Creating an iDevice

1. With eXe running, select Tools from the toolbar menu and select iDevice Editor. The iDevice editor window will open.
2. Enter the device name, author name, and a description of the iDevice.
3. Enter any pedagological help you might give to other users on how you see the device being used.
4. Select the emphasis you want the content to have from the drop down menu.
5. The next step is to build your iDevice by selecting the elements you want to appear in your iDevice. The Add Text Field provides you with a single line input field, the Add Text Area gives you a multiple line input field and an image input field is now available.
6. Give each element added a label and provide instructions on usability.
7. Click Save. The new iDevice will appear in the iDevices Pane. This iDevice now behaves in the same manner as the other iDevices.
8. To create additional iDevices open the iDevice editing window and click the Reset button at the foot of the window.

Actividad - Creación de un iDevice

1. Con eXe corriendo, seleccione Herramientas del menú de barra de herramientas y seleccione al Editor iDevice. La ventana de editor iDevice se abrirá.
2. Entrar el nombre del dispositivo, el nombre de autor y una descripción del iDevice.
3. Entrar toda la ayuda pedagógica que considere que podría ayudar a otros usuarios en cómo utilizar este dispositivo que usted está creando.
4. Seleccionar en el menú desplegable, el énfasis que quiere que tenga el contenido.
5. El siguiente paso es construir su iDevice seleccionando los elementos que usted quiere que aparezcan en su iDevice. El Text Field le brinda sólo una línea de entrada de texto, el Text Area le brinda un área de texto de multiples líneas y se ha adicionado ahora un campo de entrada de una imágen.
6. Ponga una etiqueta a cada uno de los elementos añadidos y proporcione instrucciones sobre su usabilidad.
7. Haga click en Guardar. Un nuevo iDevice aparecerá en el Panel de iDevices. Este iDevice ahora se comportará de la misma manera que otro iDevices.
8. Para crear iDevices adicionales abra la ventana de edición de iDevice y haga click en el botón Restaurar que está al pie de la ventana.

Activity - Deleting iDevices created with the Editor

NOTE: eXe does not currently have a roll back or delete an iDevice feature. If you want to delete iDevices created with the editor this action will delete all the idevices you have created. Content created with a new iDevice however, remains part of your content and is editable.

1. For Windows users, click 'My documents' or 'Home' for Linux users.
2. Select the Generic.data file and press the Delete key.

Actividad - Eliminando iDevices creados con el Editor

"NOTA:" el eXe actualmente no posee la posibilidad de echar atrás o eliminar un iDevice. Si usted quiere suprimir iDevices creados con el editor, esta acción suprimirá todo los idevices que usted ha creado. El contenido creado con nuevo iDevice sin embargo, permanece como parte de su contenido y es editable.

1. Para usuarios de Windows, haga click en 'Mis documentos o 'Home' para usuarios Linux.
2. Seleccionar el archivo Generic.data y presionar la Tecla de suprimir.
